Introduction
Vascular Surgery is a specialty of surgery in which diseases of the vascular system, or arteries and veins, are managed by medical therapy, minimally invasive catheter procedures, and surgical reconstruction. The vascular surgeon is trained in diagnosis and management of diseases affecting all parts of the vascular system except that of the heart and brain. There is an evolving emphasis on minimally invasive vascular surgery, known as endovascular surgery, which allows for treatment of many vascular diseases from within the arteries and veins using catheters. Our vascular surgeons have expertise in the diagnosis, management, and treatment of all vascular diseases. For more information about each of these diseases, click on the corresponding links on the left.
