Kristin C. Smith, M.D., a Board Certified General Surgeon with Advanced Training in Breast Surgery is an Associate in Commonwealth Surgical Associates. In addition to her practice of breast surgery, she frequently provides general, laparoscopic and endocrine surgical services.

She comes to the area as a native of Syracuse, New York and a recent resident of Dallas, Texas. Doctor Smith brings to Commonwealth Surgical her special interest and training in diseases and surgery of the breast. She completed her Fellowship in Breast Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, through the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation of Dallas, Texas. The Breast Fellowship followed her Residency training at University of South Carolina School of Medicine, Richland Memorial Hospital, Columbia, South Carolina. Doctor Smith earned her Medical Degree from Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia where she distinguished herself by receiving the “Excellence in Cardiology” award. She earned a B.A. in Biology from Colgate University in Hamilton, New York following graduating Cum Laude from Tabor Academy in Marion, Massachusetts.

Doctor Smith is an Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, member of the Association of Women Surgeons and The American Medical Association. Her busy schedule includes private practice, Winchester Breast Care Center hours, teaching and lecturing.
