The success rate for treatment of reflux using radiofrequency ablation or endovenous laser therapy is over 95%. Any veins removed using ambulatory phlebectomy will not return. However if you are prone to develop varicose or spider veins, you may get new varicose or spider veins after a variable time period of months to years. You can be treated again as often as needed. Wearing graduated compression stockings as often as possible during the day is the most important thing you can do to prevent recurrence of your varicose veins.
